Tortilla Soup

Well, as always, we had a pretty eventful week.

Let's see...

-The sisters from Esbjerg came

-Participated in two different cleaning service projects

-Met people on the street gave them copies of the Book of Mormon and

invited them to meet with us another time

-Finished preparing Kaj for his baptism

-Went to Copenhagen for a leadership council

-Set up/ confirmed assignments for Kaj's baptism (chairs,

refreshments, programs, speakers, music,...)

Saturday was definitely intense. We started off with throwing a

surprise birthday breakfast party for one of our investigators at a

member's house (she just moved here from Mongolia last month). We gave

her American candy and a Book of Mormon we ordered in Mongolian. She

was so excited to get it! She could not even believe it and said she

could not wait to read it :)

The next big event of the day... Kaj got baptized! :) After his baptism,

he bore his testimony about how the gospel has really changed his

life. Ruslan came. He is from Bulgaria. He talked to us for a while.

He wondered if he could just come to church for the rest of his life

and not become a member. We told him he could, but he would miss out

on blessings and invited him to read the chapter 2 Nephi 31 about why

the Savior was baptized and how it is the only way back to Him. We are

excited to meet with him again this week after he reads to talk more

about it.

So remember dinner at the Romanians' apartment last week? Three of

them (Michael, Justin and Robert) came to the baptism. And after the

baptism? They stayed to help put the cover back on the baptismal font,

set the chairs back so everything would be in order for church the

next day, and then started on peeling apples for an apple pie we were

going to make. Finally, we all sat down and reviewed the day eating

homemade tortilla soup, drinking saft and finishing it off with

American apple pie. Oh and Cosmin was able to make it to dinner! So it

was the four missionaries and the four Romanians once again! It was a

great day.

Things are going really well here in Horsens. I love it! It's a

beautiful city. I feel so blessed to be here. I know that we have a

Heavenly Father who loves us so much that he has blessed us with

family and friends, so that we can learn a little glimpse of His love

for us.
