Peering Into My Day: Last Thursday

Familier og venner! :)

Okay, so I think what I want to share today is experiences from Thursday. Let me give you the run down:

6:30 a.m. Pray, go on a little jog right by the apartment and stretch
7:00 a.m. Shower, get ready/breakfast
8:00 a.m. Personal study
9:00 a.m. Companion study
9:30 a.m. Bike to the church
10:00 a.m. Decorate for Elder Brindley's birthday (we had made a cake the night before and since we didn't have food coloring... we grated carrots, squeezed the juice and used it in the decorating frosting so we could write "Tillykke Ældste Brindley"
10:30 a.m. District meeting
12:30 p.m. District lunch at The Green Kitchen where we now get 10% off since the love missionaries

1:30 p.m. Contact someone on our way back who takes a Book of Mormon and starts reading it as soon as she gets it. Her name is Sussan.

2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Then we went with a member to visit a previous investigator who was an hour away from us. She ended up not being home. Sad! But then we tried to visit a less active in the area... she wasn't home either. Then we took the member with us to knock on random one door. It was fun, she was a little hesitant, but ended up being glad she was there :)

5:00 p.m. Dinner
6:00 p.m. Take a bus to Korsør
6:30 p.m. We had some time before our appointment so we contacted people in the area. This one, is name is Mark. He's from the U.S. and has been here for at least 20 years. He asked if I was American and hugged me and kissed me on the top of my head... ha ha. Anyway, we told him a little about the church and we are meeting with him this week.
7:00 p.m. We went to our appointment with a member who has only been to church about 2 times in the last few decades. She came to church last week and brought her two young adult grandsons who are not members. It turns out that she had forgotten our appointment and her son and grandsons were there. We told them we had planned to ready a chapter in the Book of Mormon, but asked if we could share a lesson instead. We asked if they wanted to hear about where the Book of Mormon came from or the purpose of life. The said the purpose of life, so we went through the plan of salvation. They were all really interested and seemed to think it made since. One of them asked, so how does the Book of Mormon tie into this. We have an appointment in 2 weeks to share the restoration lesson. It was really neat :)
8:00 p.m. Take a bus
8:45 p.m. Bike home
9:00 p.m. Plan
9:30 p.m. Fill out some records
10:00 p.m. Get ready for bed

So Thursday was a great day! Sussan ended up coming to church! She stayed for the whole thing and really liked it! We are meeting with her again tomorrow.

Also, we had a great experience with helping paint and picking red currants for a member who doesn't come to church very much. She invited three of her friends over after we were done and asked us to sing to them :)

Life is so great! I love being a missionary! I love being on the Lord's errands :)

Med kærligste hilsener,

Søster Orgill
